Vote at Town Meeting
Monday, May 19, at 7 pm
Fowler School Auditorium
An alarming number of raptors (owls, hawks, eagles), foxes, coyotes, and even household pets have been sickened or killed after preying on rodents poisoned with second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs). Thankfully, there are safer— and more effective—methods of controlling the rat population. At Town Meeting on May 19, please vote to support a ban on the use of SGAR poisons on municipal properties (such as Town Hall, the Fire Station, and at Maynard schools). If you’d like to learn more about the bylaw, visit savemaynardwildlife.org.
